Person 1: (enters the elevator carrying a bag of books and turns around to press the
button for the 7th floor)
Person 2: Excuse me, that’s actually the for the 9th floor.
Person 1: Oh, my apologies. I couldn’t see the buttons very well with this bag of
books in my hands.
Person 2: No worries, it happens. Can I help you with those ?
Person 1: That would be great, thank you. I just came back from the library and got
carried with all the books I borrowed.
Person 2: I know the feeling. What are you reading?
Person 1: A few different things – some history books, a , and a biography. What
about you?
Person 2: I’m actually on my way to a meeting, so I don’t have much time to read
these days. But I always try to make time for a book.
Person 1: Yeah, me too. Well, thanks for your help and have a good meeting.
Person 2: Thanks, you too. (both exit the elevator and go their separate ways)

Person 2: (standing nearby and gets splashed with some of the soda)
Person 1: Oh no, I’m so sorry about that. Let me get some to clean it up.
Person 2: It’s okay, accidents happen. But it’s a bit frustrating to have soda spilled on
my clothes.
Person 1: I completely . Let me make it up to you – I’ll buy you a new shirt
from the gift shop.
Person 2: That’s very kind of you, but it’s not necessary. I appreciate the offer though.
Person 1: I insist. I feel about what happened, and I want to make it right.
Person 2: Alright, thank you. That’s very generous of you.
Person 1: (walks with Person 2 to the gift shop and them pick out a new shirt)
Person 2: Thank you so much for your kindness. You didn’t have to do that.
Person 1: It’s the least I could do. I’m just I could make it up to you. Enjoy the
rest of your day at the zoo.
Person 2: You too. (both go their separate ways)

one after that?
Taxi driver: Sure, no problem. It might take a little longer, but I’m to do it.
Which address would you like to go to first?
Person 1: Let’s go to the first one, which is closer. Thank you.
Taxi driver: (starts driving towards the first address)
Person 1: By the way, do you take credit cards? I don’t have much on me.
Taxi driver: Yes, I do. I accept all major credit cards.
Person 1: Great, thank you. And how much longer do you think it will take to get to
the second address?
Taxi driver: About 20 minutes, on traffic.
Person 1: Okay, that’s not too bad. I appreciate you accommodating my schedule
today.
Taxi driver: It’s my pleasure. I always try to be as flexible as possible with my
passengers.
Person 1: That’s very kind of you. I’ll make sure to give you a good on the taxi
app.
Taxi driver: Thank you, I appreciate that. We’re almost at the first address, by the
way.
Person 1: Great, you. (arrives at the first address, gets out of the taxi and goes
inside)
Taxi driver: (waits for Person 1 to come back out and then drives towards the second
address)
