A few things to say about the end of 2020 – but for now I am just going dump a variety of photos on this post and return to write soon. Highlights – Tatajia bicycle hill climb, afternoons on my CX bike, time with daughter, some nice dinners, and good weather.
The climb up 21 to the Tatajia Visitor’s Center (also spelled: Tataka, CHN: 塔塔加) – my second time doing this ride, this one is a really gnarly uphill push. Spectacular views around every switchback. The climbing is not as grueling compared to the Puli to Wuling climb – but there are a few steep moments. My buddy Rob drove down from the skirts of Taipei and picked me up at 11 am – we did the 80 km in his sweet Nissan and decided to start riding at the 102 km mark on the 21 in Xinyi. We had superb weather for the entire afternoon. We did 44 km uphill and then the downhill – some of it in the dark, but I had a light – it was a perfect afternoon. Honestly, I am already thinking about when can I do it again!
