Michael: Okay, six of us, one bicycle, three bottles of water, and Room 204 is lockable. Let's move.
Ruth: Room 204's on the third floor — that's actually smart, zombies are slow, stairs slow them down more.
Michael: Agreed. I say we head there now, quietly, before the hallway gets worse.
Ruth: Who's leading? We need someone who stays calm.
Michael: I vote you. You didn't even flinch when the first one showed up.
Ruth: Because I assumed it was a very committed cosplayer until it was too late.
Michael: Fair reasoning at the time. Still, you're calmer than the rest of us. You should lead.
Ruth: Fine. New plan: I lead, you're in charge of the water, and whoever's fastest takes the bicycle to check the hallway is clear.
Michael: That's me, unfortunately. I ran track for one semester and never let anyone forget it.
Ruth: Perfect, go. Everyone else, stay close to the wall and stay quiet.
Michael: And if something goes wrong?
Ruth: Then we run, we lock the door, and we tell an incredible story about it later.
Michael: I like the confidence.
