In the pursuit of creating something usable in the classroom with the aid of AI, my recent side project has been diligently guiding generative AI to conjure up 1500 high-frequency English nouns at a crisp 512×512 resolution. Armed with a vector image LoRA and the RealisticVision5.1@2GB model, I optimistically hoped for a display of uniform elegance, however, it did not work out 100% as I expected. I commenced the task on my reliable GTX 1050, with its 640 CUDA cores proving surprisingly resilient (this is not a powerful GPU) – happy to say, it did not die. Employing Stable Diffusion on a Linux machine – running on bare metal – I don’t VM, the machine marched on without a hiccup, poised to deliver the 1525 images in a modest 26 hours. A brief export at 1000 revealed a trove of organized wonders, ready for scrutiny to unveil the inevitable quirks and amusing oddities. I cut a bit over 200 images – so here are the matching tasks, in sets of 10. Here are the 1525 images at 512×512.
